Creating your Safe Sacred Space

  • Kelly Lee Bodywork 4072 S Mill Site Ave Boise United States (map)

Our bodies often resort to constriction and bracing to help us cope with intense emotional pain and suffering. Chronic tension serves as a shield, allowing us to feel less emotionally so that we can function and continue forward. This adaptive strategy is the body’s way of managing experiences that are too overwhelming to bear. The tension you feel is the body’s attempt to hold back big, often terrifying emotions that it doesn't have the capacity to process.

The solution isn’t about forcing release through exercises or cathartic practices. Instead, it’s about creating a sense of safety and building our capacity for it. When your body feels safe, both internally and externally, it can begin to hold and process what was previously too much. As safety is embodied, the protective tension starts to ease, and true healing and forward movement can begin.

Imagine a place where your mind, body, and soul find harmony. A space where you can breathe deeply, release tension, and embrace tranquility. Using Somatic techniques, Therapeutic Guided Imagery, and Sound medicine we will use our imaginations to create a sacred, safe space inside of us and call in a guide to support and help you on this journey.

In this sacred gathering, you are not alone. We will explore techniques that soothe and nurture your nervous system.
